Spotted both of these wooden block sets over on the Babble blog and fell in LOVE -- the colors are so soft and gorgeous! Who says kiddie toys have to be ugly?

Love love LOVE this baby announcement, designed by Jamie Tallerico and printed by Sycamore Street Press. The handwritten type is so classic and sophisticated but still fun, and the bowtie is a dapper little touch. Bravo!

Gilded wood blocks

I love these gilded wood blocks from Cabin 7. A little pricey ($8 each), but they'd make for a lovely, sophisticated touch in a wee one's room. Maybe this is something one could find the raw materials for at a flea market or garage sale and then attempt to DIY?

Bright + cheery childrens' bedroom

I admire this room. The palette is bright and cheery, but it looks completely cohesive. And the beds are so cute! I really struggle with incorporating different patterns, elements, and pieces of art into a space... which makes me appreciate a job well done even more. The crisp, clean white background really holds everything together, doesn't it?
